Library Workshop: Measuring Research Impact

Overall Goal(s) of Session: To provide hands-on training on tools designed to measure research impact, including Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Essential Science Indicator (ESI), and InCites.

Specific Objectives of Session: (1) To identify the most appropriate and influential journals in which to publish, (2) To evaluate journals in the context of a single or multiple disciplines, (3) To conduct analyses of research performance and impact in specific disciplines

Want to know how to identify the most appropriate and influential journals in which to publish? To evaluate journals in the context of a single or multiple disciplines? To conduct analyses of research performance and impact in specific disciplines? This workshop will provide hands-on training on tools designed to measure research impact, including Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Essential Science Indicator (ESI), and InCites. This workshop will not only help faculty preparing for an RTP application but will benefit those seeking grants and publishing venues.
